Senior Civil Engineer - Transport

About the role

Aurecon is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer for its Melbourne Transport team. As the Roads/Civil Discipline Lead, you will contribute to major road and transport infrastructure projects across Victoria, working alongside experienced project managers, design managers and technical specialists. Projects may include major road upgrades, arterial roads, freight and logistics infrastructure, airport-related infrastructure, car park upgrades and station precinct improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning, design and delivery of transport infrastructure projects from concept through to construction.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, contractors and key project stakeholders.
• Drive the development of practical and innovative engineering solutions.
• Support project delivery, commercial performance and quality outcomes.
• Contribute to client relationship development and proposal opportunities where appropriate.
• Build your technical, project management or design management capability as your career develops.

Required profile

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Victoria (RPEV).
• Approximately 7-10 years' experience delivering roads, transport or civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience on Victorian transport and road infrastructure projects.
• Strong project delivery experience and the ability to contribute immediately within a project environment.
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Highly regarded but not essential: road design using OpenRoads or similar software.
• Civil or drainage design experience.
• Experience supporting bids, proposals or client relationship activities.
