Senior Civil Designer - Transport Infrastructure

About the role

Jacobs' Roads & Highways team is looking for experienced Senior Civil Designers to join its teams in Cairns or Townsville, contributing to the planning, design and delivery of transport projects for Queensland clients. The role works closely with project managers, design managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects that meet client expectations for quality, schedule and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of civil design deliverables for transport infrastructure projects
• Produce and review detailed designs using 12d and related civil design software
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across local and global delivery environments
• Support the adoption of digital engineering and BIM workflows
• Coordinate design activities to achieve project objectives for quality, budget and schedule
• Provide guidance and technical support to developing designers and drafters
• Contribute to project pursuits, client engagement activities and continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Experience delivering civil infrastructure or transport infrastructure projects
• Understanding of Queensland transport design standards, including TMR requirements
• Ability to coordinate design activities across multiple disciplines
• A collaborative approach and commitment to knowledge sharing

Required skills

• Advanced capability in 12d and civil design software
• BIM workflows
