Senior Backend Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design, build and maintain high‑performance backend services for a global fintech platform. You will work on scalable, secure APIs and micro‑services that power digital asset and blockchain solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs supporting financial and blockchain platforms.
• Collaborate with product, design and engineering teams to translate requirements into robust architectures.
• Improve existing Node.js services for scalability, performance and reliability.
• Create new micro‑services and integrate them using RPC and other service‑communication methods.
• Write and optimise complex queries for operational, compliance and reporting needs.
• Ensure security best practices are applied to protect data and platform integrity.
• Contribute to high‑availability and real‑time system design as the platform scales globally.
• Participate in debugging, troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience with JavaScript and Node.js in backend development.
• Strong understanding of micro‑services architecture and distributed systems.
• Proven experience building high‑scale platforms or applications.
• Hands‑on experience with relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Good knowledge of backend security principles and secure API design.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving technical environments.
