Senior Associate – Litigation & Regulatory

About the role

DLA Piper’s Litigation and Regulatory team in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Associate to work closely with leading practitioners, including the Head of Litigation & Regulatory Australia. The role offers exposure to complex, high‑stakes disputes before superior courts and arbitral tribunals across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex and strategically important litigation and regulatory matters.
• Take ownership of key workstreams across high‑stakes disputes.
• Build trusted client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
• Support the development of junior lawyers and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
• Collaborate with litigation and regulatory specialists across Australia and internationally.

Required profile

• 5+ years’ post‑qualification experience in a similar role.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent drafting and communication skills.
• Sound commercial judgement and confidence to manage complex matters.
• Collaborative mindset with a commitment to outstanding client service.
• Interest in mentoring and supporting junior lawyers.
