Senior Associate - Litigation & Dispute Resolution

About the role

Alexander Rashidi Lawyers is seeking an accomplished Senior Associate to join its Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice in Brisbane. You will work across a diverse range of litigation and complex disputes, including proceedings in the Federal Court and Supreme Court, while developing direct client relationships and taking meaningful responsibility for the conduct and progression of matters. The role sits close to the Managing Principal and offers genuine opportunities for career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on a wide range of litigation and dispute resolution matters.
• Manage workstreams and help develop and implement case strategy.
• Draft pleadings, affidavits, submissions, correspondence and other court and litigation documents.
• Work closely with counsel, including preparing briefs and coordinating evidence and hearing preparation.
• Maintain strong direct relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Contribute to dispute strategy, appear in court and mentor junior lawyers.

Required profile

• Minimum of four years' professional experience, with strong experience in litigation and complex disputes.
• Demonstrated experience managing substantial litigation workstreams with appropriate autonomy.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Ability to exercise judgement and contribute to the commercial and strategic direction of a matter.
