Senior Associate – Internal Audit (Financial Services)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our fast‑growing Internal Audit and Risk Consulting practice. You will work on high‑profile engagements for Tier 1 financial services organisations, delivering end‑to‑end audit and risk consulting solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver full‑cycle internal audit and risk consulting engagements with guidance from a manager.
• Analyse clients’ risk environments and design practical solutions.
• Conduct on‑site work, manage client interactions and supervise junior staff.
• Prepare high‑quality reports and engagement deliverables in collaboration with managers.
• Support commercial problem‑solving through critical analysis and logical reasoning.
• Present findings to clients and internal stakeholders to influence decision‑making.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in Australia’s regulated financial services environment (e.g., SIS legislation, APRA Prudential Standards, ASIC requirements).
• Professional qualification such as CA, CIA or equivalent is desirable; candidates pursuing qualifications are welcome.
• Practical experience in business risk, process reviews or internal audit.
• Ability to design and prepare audit documentation and engage with diverse stakeholder groups.
