Senior Associate, Audit – Relocate to Australia

About the role

Grant Thornton Australia, a professional services firm offering audit, tax and advisory services, is recruiting a Senior Associate to join its Audit team in Melbourne or Adelaide. This is a permanent, full-time position for an experienced auditor, with career development opportunities within a globally connected firm.

Key responsibilities

• Drive independent statutory audits of public listed and unlisted companies, proprietary companies, incorporated associations, not-for-profit entities and government bodies' financial reports
• Create complete and accurate audit work papers
• Identify and report on client financial risks
• Analyse clients' financial statements to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
• Investigate difficult technical and application issues to improve client outcomes

Required profile

• Experience in a similar audit and assurance environment with sound knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards
• CA/CPA full qualification or another relevant overseas qualification
• Exceptional client relationship and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and team members in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
