Senior Architect – Gold Coast Studio

About the role

MODE is seeking a Senior Architect to join its Gold Coast studio. This full‑time, permanent position will support multidisciplinary teams across a range of sectors, delivering high‑quality design, documentation and construction outcomes for projects throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project teams under the direction of Studio Directors, ensuring design excellence and timely delivery.
• Mentor and oversee architects and junior staff, reviewing work to meet deadlines and project requirements.
• Contribute to conceptual design, design development and construction documentation across multiple project stages.
• Coordinate project tasks, manage scope, quality and schedule, and maintain compliance with planning regulations and construction codes.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Architecture recognised in Australia.
• Current BOAQ Architectural Registration.
• Strong understanding of local, state and national planning legislation and construction codes.
• Experience in at least one of the following sectors: Residential, Infrastructure, Community (Local Authority Public Works).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows.
• Advanced knowledge of BIM processes.
