Senior Android Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to lead the development of our next‑generation mobile experience. You will work in a hybrid setting in Sydney or Melbourne, with the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Australia, shaping a Compose‑first Android stack that leverages AI‑driven tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design, implementation and delivery of high‑impact mobile features from concept to production.
• Integrate AI‑powered capabilities and AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor) to accelerate development and improve quality.
• Build scalable, maintainable and testable applications using a Kotlin‑first, Jetpack Compose and Clean Architecture approach.
• Champion code quality through automated testing, observability and performance monitoring.
• Contribute to the Android architecture roadmap, focusing on concurrency, performance and long‑term scalability.

• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive projects end‑to‑end.
• Authenticity, curiosity, tenacity and resilience in a fast‑moving environment.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross‑functional product and design teams.

Required skills

• Kotlin programming language.
• Jetpack Compose UI toolkit.
