Senior Accountant – Business Services (Canberra)

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established Canberra accounting firm, part of the AFR Top 20, to recruit a Senior Accountant for its Business Services practice. The role offers ownership of a client portfolio, leadership development and a clear pathway to partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow an individual portfolio of business services clients.
• Provide tax planning and business restructuring advice.
• Prepare, delegate and review compliance work.
• Lead, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Collaborate with partners on advisory and client engagements.

Required profile

• 3+ years’ experience in Australian public practice.
• Degree qualified in Accounting or a related discipline.
• CA/CPA qualification or currently studying (desirable).
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• High attention to detail and proactive mindset.
