Senior Accountant – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term (Sydney/Melbourne)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Senior Accountant to join our fast‑growing technology business on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. The role will support accurate financial reporting, strategic decision‑making and the scaling of accounting processes across our Sydney/Melbourne operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations and billing.
• Prepare and analyse financial results, variance reports and performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Support monthly forecasting, budgeting and revenue reporting schedules.
• Assist with annual external audits, audit schedules and respond to auditor requests.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Procurement, FP&A and external providers on system enhancements, automation and process improvements.
• Maintain internal controls documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent (or actively pursuing qualification).
• 3–7+ years of experience in financial and management accounting.
• Strong experience with NetSuite ERP; experience in technology, SaaS or fast‑growth environments preferred.
• Experience with multi‑entity and inter‑company accounting.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.
