Security Technician - Electronic Security Systems

About the role

Crown Security, a Western Australian company based in Joondalup, Perth, specialises in commercial electronic security, video surveillance, automation, smart parking and integrated technology solutions. It is looking for a full-time, on-site Security Technician in Perth who will install, configure, test and maintain commercial electronic security systems such as alarm systems, CCTV, access control and related hardware and software.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, test and maintain commercial electronic security systems, including alarm systems, CCTV and access control.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues and perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure systems meet performance, safety and compliance standards.
• Work with project managers and clients to interpret technical plans, support system design and provide clear documentation and user guidance.
• Follow occupational health and safety procedures on customer sites and in varied environments.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in electronics, telecommunications, IT or a closely related field.
• Valid manual driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites within the Perth metropolitan area and outer suburbs.
• Previous experience in commercial security installations or maintenance is highly beneficial.

Required skills

• Strong troubleshooting skills for electronic security, networked devices and integrated systems.
• Experience with alarm systems, CCTV, access control and related commercial electronic security technologies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and installation manuals.
• Good communication and customer service skills, able to explain technical issues clearly.
