Security Technician / Electrician

About the role

A growing electrical and security services business serving residential, commercial and strata clients in Sydney and Wollongong is hiring a Security Technician / Electrician in Narellan. The role installs, services, maintains and fault-finds electronic security systems and assists with general electrical works across client sites. Pay is $48-$55 per hour plus super, with a company vehicle and fuel provided.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain CCTV, alarm and access control systems
• Diagnose faults in security and electrical systems
• Program and commission electronic security systems
• Attend residential, commercial, strata and real estate service calls
• Complete security upgrades, renovations and new installations
• Assist with general electrical maintenance and service work
• Represent the business professionally on site and complete job documentation in the company's job management system

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in the security and electrical industry
• Current NSW Security Licence and Electrical Licence
• White Card and driver's licence (manual preferred)
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently

Required skills

• Strong experience installing, servicing and fault-finding electronic security systems
• Electrical maintenance and service work
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Communication and customer service
• Nice to have: experience with Dahua, Bosch, Hikvision, Ness, Inner Range, Hills, Gallagher or Tecom systems, and with strata, commercial and property management environments
