Security PKI Expert (Contract)

About the role

Hastha Solutions has an urgent need for a Security PKI Expert on a 6-month contract in Melbourne, with possible extension. The role covers the full PKI infrastructure, certificate lifecycle and incident support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise PKI infrastructure and the complete certificate lifecycle, including issuance, renewal, deployment and revocation.
• Support Root CA and subordinate CA environments, and manage and troubleshoot X.509 certificates, SSL/TLS and certificate chains.
• Support Microsoft ADCS and enterprise Certificate Authorities, and work with HSMs for secure key management.
• Manage certificate lifecycles using tools such as Venafi, AppViewX or other CLM tools, and monitor expiry and renewals.
• Troubleshoot certificate and PKI incidents, support PKI integration with applications, IAM, cloud and enterprise systems, and provide L2/L3 support with root-cause analysis.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs and operational procedures; automate PKI tasks with PowerShell, Python or Bash where needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in PKI, cyber security or certificate management.
• Australian or New Zealand citizens or PR holders only.

Required skills

• Strong PKI and cryptography knowledge, good understanding of X.509 certificates and certificate lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft ADCS; knowledge of Root CA, Sub CA, CRL and OCSP.
• Knowledge of SSL/TLS; experience with HSM preferred.
• Experience with Venafi, AppViewX or Keyfactor preferred.
• Basic scripting in PowerShell, Python or Bash; good troubleshooting, communication and customer-facing skills.
