Security Operations Analyst

About the role

Join The Lottery Corporation’s Security Operations team to monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats across our national lottery platforms. You will be a hands‑on contributor, working with Managed Detection and Response partners to protect systems, data and people.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and triage security threats and anomalous activity.
• Build and tune alerts to improve detection quality.
• Investigate incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and coordinate remediation.
• Apply threat intelligence and MITRE ATT&CK knowledge to strengthen detection.
• Manage day‑to‑day engagement with MDR partners.
• Improve security processes through automation and optimise tooling.
• Participate in the Security Operations on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Security Operations Centre or similar environment.
• Strong incident investigation and response capability.
• Ability to work under pressure with sound judgement.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM, endpoint detection and network monitoring tools.
• PowerShell or Linux shell scripting capability.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence, MITRE ATT&CK framework and cloud security in hybrid environments.
• Strong networking fundamentals across TCP/IP and common protocols.
