Security Engineer

About the role

NEP is seeking a Security Engineer to secure and optimise the infrastructure that powers its next‑generation media and broadcast services. You will work closely with the Technology Steering Committee and global IT Security teams to embed robust security controls across Kubernetes‑based platforms and hybrid cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage SIEM solutions for real‑time threat detection and incident response.
• Develop and enforce microsegmentation policies to isolate workloads in Kubernetes and hybrid environments.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines, container builds and IaC workflows using tools such as Terraform.
• Automate vulnerability and compliance scanning, and manage secret‑management systems like 1Password.
• Collaborate with IT Security and the TSC SME group to align platform security with ISO 27001, SOC 2 and other compliance frameworks.
• Represent the Platform team in internal security meetings, external audits and conferences.

Required profile

• Proven experience in platform security, DevSecOps or SRE roles within containerised/Kubernetes environments.
• Hands‑on experience with SIEM design, microsegmentation and security automation.
• Ability to lead remediation efforts after audits or penetration tests.
