Embedded Linux Engineer

About the role

Andromeda Robotics is seeking an Embedded Linux Engineer to own and improve the Linux platform that powers its humanoid robot, Abi. You will work across hardware and software boundaries to make the robot reliable, deployable, and easier to develop.

Key responsibilities

• Own and enhance the Linux platform, including kernel configuration, device bring‑up, and hardware integration for Jetson‑based robots.
• Improve provisioning, flashing, OTA upgrades and debugging tools for boot, networking, Wi‑Fi, cameras, storage and other peripherals.
• Support hardware bring‑up, device‑tree and driver development, and define clean interfaces for next‑generation robots.
• Collaborate with firmware, electrical, autonomy, AI and product teams to define hardware‑software interfaces.
• Develop tooling, automation, logging and diagnostics to detect and resolve low‑level issues.
• Produce clear technical documentation for setup, deployment, debugging and recovery procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 years of experience in embedded Linux, systems programming or robotics software.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and ability to debug system behaviour across userspace, services and device interfaces.
• Experience working close to hardware on embedded or robotics systems.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate technical information clearly.
