Secondary Visual Arts Teacher (Part-Time)

About the role

Australian Christian College (ACC) Singleton is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Visual Arts Teacher to join its team. The role offers the chance to inspire students to develop their creativity, artistic skills and critical thinking in a supportive Christian learning environment, planning and delivering Visual Arts programs aligned with the NSW curriculum. It is a part-time position open to negotiation, starting in Term 1 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated Visual Arts lessons for Years 7-12, covering a range of artistic techniques, materials and creative processes.
• Encourage students to explore artistic techniques and materials while developing their creativity and critical thinking.
• Contribute to a school culture that values academic excellence, character development and Christian discipleship.

Required profile

• Sound understanding of the NSW Visual Arts curriculum and ability to plan and deliver differentiated learning experiences.
• Appropriate qualifications and experience teaching Secondary Visual Arts, with the ability to teach across Years 7-12.
• Capacity to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes, receive feedback on teaching and implement changes.
• Support for an explicit instruction approach based on a knowledge-rich curriculum.
• Ability to plan for, collect and analyse educational data and devise strategies and interventions to improve student outcomes.
• Demonstrates excellent teaching as described in the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
• Active Christian faith, suitable tertiary qualifications and NESA accreditation (or eligibility).
• Current Working with Children Check.
