Secondary Languages Teacher (Part-Time)

About the role

Australian Christian College (ACC) Singleton is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Languages Teacher to join its team. The role offers the chance to inspire students to develop language proficiency, communication skills and cultural understanding in a supportive Christian learning environment, planning and delivering Languages programs aligned with the NSW curriculum. It is a part-time position open to negotiation, starting in Term 1 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective Languages programs aligned with the NSW curriculum, encouraging students to communicate confidently in another language and appreciate different cultures and perspectives.
• Support students to achieve their potential and contribute to a school culture that values academic excellence, character development and Christian discipleship.
• Plan for, collect and analyse educational data, then devise strategies and interventions to improve student outcomes.

Required profile

• Appropriate qualifications and experience teaching Secondary Languages, with the ability to teach across Years 7-12 highly regarded.
• Strong proficiency in the language(s) being taught, including speaking, listening, reading and writing.
• Sound understanding of the NSW Languages curriculum and ability to plan differentiated learning experiences.
• Capacity to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes, receive feedback on teaching and implement changes.
• Supportive of an explicit instruction approach based on a knowledge-rich curriculum.
• Active Christian faith, suitable tertiary qualifications and NESA accreditation (or eligibility).
• Current Working with Children Check.
