Second Engineer – Maritime Expedition Vessel

About the role

The Second Engineer will join the onboard engineering team of Coral Expeditions, supporting the safe and efficient operation of the vessel’s propulsion and auxiliary systems during domestic and international voyages.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Preventative Maintenance Programme and maintain related records.
• Maintain engine room cleanliness, conduct oil tank emptying, and ensure all safety devices are tested.
• Service firefighting equipment, pumps, hydraulic and electrical systems, bridge equipment, and scuba compressors.
• Perform bunkering of fuel and oil, manage spare parts inventory, and keep the maintenance logbook up to date.
• Stand watch and respond to emergency mechanical or electrical issues as required.

Required profile

• Engineer Class 1 or 2 (STCW95) with Engineer Watchkeeper CoC and First Engineer endorsement.
• Valid ASSB certification, crowd control and crisis management training.
• International AMSA Medical certificate, First Aid/CPR certification, valid passport and MSIC Card.
• Preferred experience on passenger ships.
