About the role
Join a transformational bicultural education model as a Science Teacher supporting an independent primary school in the Djelk Indigenous Protected Area. This Darwin‑based FIFO role offers a unique opportunity to integrate Indigenous knowledge with the Australian Curriculum while working closely with Elders, families and local educators.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, hands‑on Science learning in a multi‑age, EAL/D classroom.
- Co‑design programmes that blend Indigenous knowledge with the Australian Curriculum.
- Support “On Country Learning” alongside Elders, families and local educators.
- Use off‑site weeks for planning, assessment and curriculum development.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher with a passion for Science and inquiry‑based learning.
- Strong interest in culturally responsive education and Indigenous contexts.
- Ability to build relationships with community members and school staff.
- Flexibility and adaptability to a FIFO roster.
Required skills
What we offer
- Salary $108,000‑$151,000 AUD plus remote allowance, annual leave loading and superannuation.
