School Technical Officer – ICT Support

About the role

The School Technical Officer provides high‑quality ICT support within a busy secondary school environment. Working closely with teachers, students and external providers, the officer ensures that all technology used for teaching and learning operates reliably and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver responsive day‑to‑day ICT support to staff and students across the college.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair computers, peripherals, classroom technologies and network‑connected devices.
• Assist with deployment, configuration and lifecycle management of ICT hardware and software.
• Manage user accounts, printing services, AV equipment and departmental applications.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, school leadership, regional ICT teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of assets, incidents and service activities.
