School ICT Desktop Support Officer (ASO3)

About the role

The School ICT Desktop Support Officer provides essential ICT services to Department for Education school and preschool sites across South Australia. You will deliver first‑ and second‑level technical support, ensuring students and staff have reliable access to digital tools.

Key responsibilities

• Provide desktop support and technical advice for incidents and service requests logged by schools and preschools.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, applying remediation techniques to resolve problems promptly.
• Perform standard installation and configuration of key ICT systems and platforms.
• Maintain high levels of customer service and communication with end‑users.
• Follow service delivery strategies and processes to achieve quality technical outcomes.

Required profile

• Ability to work effectively with children, staff and external partners.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and complete RRHAN‑EC facilitator training.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.
