School-Based Traineeship - Actrol Wagga Wagga

About the role

The Reece Group, which supplies plumbing and bathroom products to plumbers and retailers and owns the Actrol refrigeration and air conditioning business, is offering a school-based traineeship at its Actrol Wagga Wagga branch. Partnered with Murray Mallee Training Company Ltd, the program is aimed at Year 10 students who will work towards a Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations. It combines work in the branch with certificate requirements such as workbooks, on-the-job training and assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Reece's values, policies and procedures
• Provide customer service
• Complete all requirements of the certificate, including workbooks, on-the-job training and assessments
• Process sales
• Manage stock
• Answer the phone to take messages and orders
• Communicate with customers and staff
• Build product knowledge
• Follow up with customers
• Help keep the branch at a high standard

Required profile

• Year 10 student
• Good written and verbal communication
• Ability to follow instructions
• Enthusiasm, a great attitude and willingness to try new things
• Team player
• Willingness to keep a neat and tidy workplace
• Well presented
• Saturday availability; about 1.5 days per week, with extra hours during school holidays recommended
