Scheduling Coordinator

About the role

CareWays Community provides in-home aged care and four Neighbourhood Centres. It is seeking an experienced Scheduling Coordinator for its Community Care Team in Dapto, NSW. The role reports to the Aged Care Senior Manager and is a permanent full-time position working onsite in the Dapto office, Monday to Friday. It works closely with Management and Care Partners to roster Care Workers who deliver care and support to Support at Home and Commonwealth Home Support Program service users.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain care worker rosters daily, completed two weeks in advance
• Develop and manage care service schedules, matching clients' needs with care workers' skills and locations
• Monitor care worker hours against contracts, maximum hour limits and award requirements
• Arrange replacement care workers for sick leave, annual leave, planned or unplanned absences and shift changes
• Maintain accurate records and process care worker timesheets
• Report regularly to management on scheduling capacity and recruitment recommendations
• Ensure compliance, cost optimisation and client and care worker satisfaction, and adhere to legislative and regulatory requirements
• Attend team meetings and training sessions

Required profile

• Diploma-level qualification and 3 years' experience in a high-volume rostering position
• Experience scheduling shifts for high volumes of workers and clients, with low error rates
• Sound understanding of the SCHADS Award and industrial instruments relating to rostering
• Experience in the aged care or disability sector; home care environment desirable
• Excellent data entry, computer, communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
• National Criminal History Check
