Schedulers – Defence Projects

About the role

Babcock is looking for several experienced schedulers to join its teams delivering planning and scheduling activities across defence programs. The role supports Babcock's contracts for the total asset management of the Anzac Class frigates through to the end of their life. It is a permanent position based in Henderson, Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Bill of Materials (BoM) so that all records are accurate and traceable through the project lifecycle.
• Provide reliable delivery forecasts and identify scheduling risks that could delay the project.
• Develop, continually update and regularly analyse the Integrated Project Master Schedule (IPMS).
• Manage and report schedule variances and identify quantitative schedule risk.
• Implement and maintain project control structures consistent with project scope and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma in Project Management or a related field, or a plan to obtain it.
• Experience tracking project progress, preparing reports and maintaining project documentation such as risk registers, change logs and progress reports.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar scheduler/planner role.
• Eligibility to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance at an appropriate level, and a valid Construction Induction Card (White Card).

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced skills in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.
• Working understanding of earned value analysis, critical path method and associated reporting.
• Analytical, problem-solving skills and strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
