Scanning Technician

About the role

Veracio is seeking a Scanning Technician to support the deployment and operation of field‑deployable XRF, hyperspectral and core photography systems across mining sites in Adelaide, Perth and regional NSW. The role involves extensive travel on a Fly‑In‑Fly‑Out roster and requires hands‑on technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with proprietary analytical equipment and supporting software.
• Conduct field and workshop scanning activities using Veracio’s Scan and Minalyzer units.
• Provide logistical support for field scanning operations and document incidents in the Issue Management System.
• Perform hands‑on service, repairs and contribute to the creation of standard work procedures and training materials.
• Support product development through testing, reporting and operational rollout.
• Train client field technicians on safe and efficient use of the equipment.
• Travel regularly, often on short notice, to various sites and ensure compliance with EHS policies.

Required profile

• Authorized to work in Australia.
• Field experience on a drill rig or in a mining/exploration core facility (desirable).
• Experience handling and logging core samples (desirable).
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to maintain key relationships.
• Interest in digital technologies and innovation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, initiative and ability to work varied rosters.
• Current driver’s licence; 4WD and Senior First Aid preferred.
