Scaffolder

About the role

Austal is looking for a Scaffolder in Henderson, WA to support the construction, maintenance and sustainment of defence and commercial vessels from its Henderson facility. You will safely erect, modify, inspect and dismantle scaffolding so that trades and production teams have safe access to their work, in a dynamic shipbuilding environment.

Key responsibilities

• Erect scaffolding of various types, determine job requirements and plan and configure it
• Fix guardrails and dismantle scaffolding after completion
• Load and unload materials and equipment
• Maintain good housekeeping by removing obstructions and returning unused equipment to storage
• Carry out regular scaffold inspections and safety audits
• At times, also facilitate maintenance activities and yard work, painting activities including line marking and walkways, forklift operations, and removal and emptying of construction waste bins from vessels

Required profile

• Australian full working rights
• HRWL (SB, SI or SA) or HRWL (LF)
