About the role
The Sample Management Officer ensures that all laboratory samples move through the workflow in an orderly and efficient manner, are accessible to staff, and are properly stored or disposed of after analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain the water, soil and hold sample cool rooms in an up‑to‑date and orderly condition.
- Manage long‑term storage of soil samples.
- Dispose of water, soil and biosecurity samples under supervision.
Required profile
- Engineering or science qualifications (university level preferred).
- Strong numeracy and financial skills.
- Comfort working in technical environments with a hands‑on attitude.
- Desire to continuously learn and improve.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- General knowledge of IT systems and production control (advantageous).
