Sales Travel Consultant - Central Queensland

About the role

Flight Centre is hiring Sales Travel Consultants for its retail stores in Rockhampton, Central Queensland. The role is full-time and on-site, working a rotating roster across a 7-day trade. You will plan itineraries, book travel and turn enquiries into bookings for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan itineraries, book travel and convert enquiries into bookings in person, by phone and by email
• Sell the whole holiday, including flights, accommodation, car hire, tours, travel insurance, cruises and transfers, and work towards individual KPIs and sales targets
• Build a customer base of new and returning customers, from regular domestic bookings to international holidays
• Advise customers on travel-related questions such as visas, best time of year to travel, packing and where to eat

Required profile

• Genuine passion for travel and a desire to help customers explore the world
• Determination to meet sales targets and KPIs in a busy, high-pressure environment
• Great organisational skills, with good note-taking, calendar management and prompt responses to calls and emails
• Warmth and enthusiasm that makes customers want to book again

Required skills

• Savviness with computers, able to switch between complex booking systems to find flights and packages
