Sales Manager, AFL Wholesale

About the role

Fanatics Commerce, the global leader in licensed sports merchandise, is looking for a Sales Manager to lead wholesale growth across its Australian Football League partnership. The role drives commercial performance across key retail channels in the Australian market, using data, automation and AI-enabled insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic account development and build strong, trust-based relationships with key strategic retail partners across AFL channels
• Shape category strategy and product focus, and turn market feedback into range direction and development
• Deliver and execute sales and margin targets, and lead accurate sales planning and forecasting
• Drive the overall sales strategy for the AFL wholesale business across key retail channels
• Work with product, category, retail, e-commerce, finance and supply chain teams, and coach them on market dynamics and customer trends
• Apply AI and digital tools to improve efficiency and use data to inform decisions

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in a commercial key account role, ideally in sports, licensed apparel or related consumer goods
• Proven track record of meeting sales KPIs and margin targets in a fast-paced environment
• Negotiation and presentation skills, able to influence senior retail partners and internal stakeholders
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines

• Highly proficient Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to lead sales planning, forecasting and performance tracking

Location: hybrid, primarily the Melbourne office, with three days per week in the office.
