Sales Executive – Groups, MICE & Events

About the role

The Sales Executive will drive growth for the Groups, MICE, Meetings & Events segments at InterContinental Perth, building and converting relationships with key clients to exceed budget targets.

Key responsibilities

• Convert business and proactively manage relationships with existing key clients.
• Build new relationships and secure business in line with the sales strategy.
• Negotiate rates, monitor competitor activity and use market intelligence tools.
• Maintain regular sales calls and manage the full sales cycle, including hand‑over to operations.

Required profile

• Strong drive for results with proven sales and conversion experience in a hotel environment.
• Understanding of industry dynamics, trends and ability to grow a professional network.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to champion the brand and work effectively within a close‑knit team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of sales systems such as Delphi.
• Knowledge of sales systems such as Opera.
