Safety Trainer and Assessor (Casual/Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Trainer and Assessor to deliver high‑quality safety training across Western Australia. This casual or contract position can be performed on‑site or in a hybrid model, supporting organisations to meet regulatory compliance and foster a safety‑first culture.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and deliver safety training programs aligned with industry standards and client requirements.
• Prepare instructional materials, conduct classroom and practical sessions, and observe participant performance.
• Assess competence against defined criteria and maintain accurate training and assessment records.
• Provide constructive feedback to learners and recommend improvements to course content.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to tailor training solutions to operational needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering training and competency‑based assessments in a safety or technical environment.
• Relevant training and assessment qualification (e.g., Certificate IV in Training and Assessment) and applicable safety certifications.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities with the capacity to engage diverse learner groups.
• Solid understanding of workplace health and safety principles, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills to handle multiple courses and cohorts.
• Prior experience in industrial, construction or resource sectors in Australia is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Competence in presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with standard office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).
