Safety Business Partner

About the role

Bega Group is looking for a Safety Business Partner for its Chelsea Heights site in Melbourne's south-east, which manufactures more than 44 milk, milk-based beverages and cream products, producing around 100 million litres per year. The role partners with site leaders and team members to foster a positive safety culture, give trusted advice and support wellbeing and safety. It is hands-on and relationship-focused, with coaching, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders and teams to identify opportunities that improve workplace safety, wellbeing and risk management
• Provide practical coaching, guidance and support that encourages safe behaviours and strengthens safety culture
• Facilitate risk assessments, workplace inspections, safety meetings and training initiatives
• Analyse safety data and performance trends and share insights that support decision-making and continuous improvement
• Lead and support incident investigations, working with stakeholders to find sustainable solutions

Required profile

• A Diploma or Certificate IV in Safety is desirable, though equivalent industry experience is welcomed
• An experienced safety professional who enjoys partnering with leaders and teams to create safer, healthier workplaces
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to identify risks and guide informed decisions
• Passionate about coaching, influencing others and driving continuous improvement
