Rotational Clinical Pharmacist

About the role

The Rotational Clinical Pharmacist position is a full‑time permanent role within the Pharmacy department of North Canberra Hospital. You will join a supportive, collegial team delivering clinical pharmacy services in a tertiary public hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medication review, optimisation and clinical advice to in‑patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in on‑call and weekend pharmacy duties as required.
• Utilise the hospital’s Digital Health Record system to document interventions and support patient safety.
• Contribute to research projects, education sessions and mentorship of junior staff.
• Assist with the implementation of new pharmacy services linked to the upcoming Northside Hospital development.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with a Foundation Residency completed or at least two years of experience in an Australian public hospital.
• Alternatively, practising at Consolidation or ANZCAP Registrar level with a minimum of four years public‑hospital experience.
• Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment National Police Check and comply with CHS occupational health, vaccination and credentialing policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Digital Health Record systems.
