Room Leader / Lead Educator (Part-Time)

About the role

Rise & Shine Kindergarten is seeking a passionate and dedicated Room Leader / Lead Educator for its Maroochydore site. This is a part-time, permanent position in which you will help create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children and support the overall aims of the educational programme.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a designated room, keeping it safe, engaging and inclusive for all children.
• Develop and run age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's learning and development.
• Work with other educators and staff to build a cohesive, supportive team.
• Keep in regular contact with parents and guardians, sharing updates on children's progress and addressing concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of children's development and learning outcomes in line with regulatory requirements.
• Take part in ongoing professional development and training in early childhood education.

Required profile

• A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education, such as a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Previous experience with children in an educational setting is preferred but not essential for entry-level candidates.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents and colleagues.
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to children's growth.
• Team player with leadership qualities.
