Risk and Compliance Manager (Education Sector)

About the role

Al Zahra College is looking for an experienced Risk and Compliance Manager to ensure the school meets all legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements. You will work closely with the Headmaster, Governing Council and the wider school community to embed robust compliance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with NESA registration, IB authorisation, child protection, WHS, privacy, anti‑discrimination and employment law requirements.
• Interpret legislation, develop policies and procedures, and implement effective compliance systems.
• Prepare reports, policies and submissions for senior leadership, auditors, regulators and governing bodies.
• Collaborate across the school community while upholding the highest standards of integrity.
• Report directly to the Headmaster with a dotted line to the Governing Council.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience in education or not‑for‑profit compliance management.
• Bachelor’s degree in law, education, governance, risk and compliance or a related field.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid right to work in Australia and a Working With Children Check.
