Career Development Specialist – Saudi Arabia Relocation

About the role

The Career Development Specialist will join the Career Counseling Group within the Management & Professional Development Department. Based in Saudi Arabia, the role focuses on delivering confidential career counseling, designing and delivering training, and supporting employee development aligned with corporate objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide confidential, multi‑mode career counseling and guidance for early‑career and experienced professionals.
• Design and deliver customized career practitioner training based on international best practices and adult learning principles.
• Coordinate supervision and skill‑assessment processes for career practitioners to ensure adherence to service standards.
• Develop relationships with line organizations to co‑create innovative career interventions supporting business goals.
• Plan, design and facilitate career development sessions covering self‑awareness, opportunity awareness, decision‑making, transition and career management.
• Support employees, supervisors and mentors in aligning individual development plans with corporate strategic goals.
• Report on counseling services, identifying opportunities to align offerings with individual aspirations and business needs.
• Stay current on trends and challenges in career counseling within the energy sector.
• Collaborate with career practitioners across the organization to share best practices and create mutual benefits.
• Maintain accurate records of counseling activities for reporting and monitoring purposes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in career counseling, career development or related human‑resources functions.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and international best practices for career guidance.
• Ability to design and deliver training programs and facilitate development workshops.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to confidentiality.
• Analytical mindset for reporting, monitoring and aligning services with business objectives.
