Revit & Rhino Designer

About the role

Built is looking for a Revit & Rhino Designer to join its Design and Development team at the Perth head office. The role supports early‑stage project development, testing sites, assembling layouts and exploring housing outcomes using a structured design system. You will work across Revit and Rhino to set up projects quickly, test options and iterate layouts, contributing to both project outcomes and the refinement of internal design tools.

Key responsibilities

• Set up sites and building layouts in Revit based on planning inputs and briefs.
• Translate planning requirements into design schemes and test massing, unit mix and layout options.
• Support feasibility studies and early project definition using structured design rules.
• Apply and adapt standard housing typologies across different sites.
• Use Rhino (and Grasshopper/Dynamo) for massing, layout and spatial testing.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of a DFMA kit‑of‑parts library.
• Collaborate with the Digital Engineering team via Revizto and improve design tools and system performance.

Required profile

• Proactive, hands‑on attitude with a “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” approach.
• Comfortable working in an iterative, early‑stage design environment.
• Strong problem‑ownership mindset and willingness to tackle challenges.

Required skills

• Advanced Revit skills for project setup and layout creation.
• Proficiency in Rhino and Grasshopper (or similar parametric tools such as Dynamo).
• Experience with Revizto for collaborative digital engineering.
• Knowledge of planning, housing design and density considerations.
• Familiarity with DFMA kit‑of‑parts and modular or precast construction concepts.
