Retail Store Supervisor (Charity Retail)

About the role

Lifeline Queensland is seeking a Retail Store Supervisor to lead one of its charity shops in Taringa. You will manage daily operations, support a team of staff and volunteers, and help generate revenue that funds vital suicide‑prevention services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the store, ensuring business practices meet sales targets and profitability goals.
• Coordinate pricing, visual merchandising, promotional events and selling techniques with staff and volunteers.
• Maintain effective communication with the regional support team and external stakeholders.
• Handle customer enquiries and complaints, providing excellent service.
• Identify issues and opportunities from sales and customer feedback and act on them.
• Set objectives, prioritize tasks and align them with the overall business strategy.

Required profile

• Passionate about Lifeline’s mission and able to articulate its purpose.
• Proven experience in retail (or hospitality) management, including coaching and mentoring.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to exceed expectations.
• Eagerness to learn all store functions such as visual presentation, online marketing and stock control.
• Commitment to creating a values‑driven, diverse and safe workplace.
