Retail Sales Representative

About the role

Elders is looking for a Retail Sales Representative with a passion for the ag industry to join its Miles team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role supports the branch's retail team by providing logistics support, including the safe receiving and dispatching of stock, while using product knowledge and customer service skills to help clients grow their business. Training is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships by recommending Elders products and services.
• Serve new business opportunities proactively to meet KPIs and targets.
• Support inventory management, including stocktake and safe dispatch of rural products.
• Process sales transactions and prepare sales quotes for clients.
• Provide a complete delivery service, ensuring timely and efficient distribution of rural products.
• Assist with storage, handling and receiving of stock in line with safety standards.

Required profile

• Experience in sales and strong retail skills.
• Technical knowledge of seasonal and rural products.
• Valid driver's licence; a heavy rigid truck licence is preferred, with support available to obtain one.
• A forklift licence is preferred, with support available to obtain one.
• A friendly, can-do attitude and a strong interest in animal health and feed lotting are desirable.
