Retail Pharmacist

About the role

The client, a registered pharmacy outlet chain in Wyong, NSW, is seeking a full‑time Retail Pharmacist to deliver high‑quality pharmacy services and patient‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medicines in compliance with the Pharmacy Board of Australia and National Health Act regulations, including counselling and supplying Pharmacist Only Medicines.
• Provide comprehensive services such as home medicine reviews, dose administration aids, opioid substitution therapy, disease management and medication adherence support.
• Document clinical interventions using GuildCare software and manage PBS/Medicare claims.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians, interns and sales assistants, and oversee stock management, including expiry checks and temperature monitoring.

Required profile

• Successful completion of a Bachelor of Pharmacy and current general registration with AHPRA.
• At least 12 months experience in a retail pharmacy dispensing role.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment and contribute positively to a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing software (e.g., GuildCare) and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Knowledge of Australian pharmacy legislation and standards (Pharmacy Practice Act 2004, QCPP, OH&S).
