Restaurant Manager – Rottnest Island

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our 100‑seat Italian‑style restaurant on Rottnest Island, Western Australia. The role offers a unique island lifestyle, full‑time employment, and a competitive salary package including superannuation, shared accommodation and meals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house activities to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Recruit, train and develop staff, fostering a high‑performing team.
• Monitor and achieve key performance indicators for labour cost and cost of goods.
• Prepare end‑of‑day operational and financial reports.
• Participate in weekly and monthly management briefings and budget planning.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and food standards.

Required profile

• Currently residing in Perth or able to relocate by December 2023.
• Minimum three years’ experience as a restaurant manager, preferably in an Italian‑cuisine venue with over 100 seats.
• Approved Manager certification.
• Demonstrated leadership, strong communication and the ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to pursue career progression within the hospitality group.

Required skills

• Familiarity with H&L point‑of‑sale (POS) systems (preferred).
