Residential Life Manager

About the role

UniLodge Edith Cowan University - Joondalup is seeking a full-time Residential Life Manager to help create a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant community where residents feel connected, supported and empowered. The manager leads wellbeing initiatives, mentors a team of Residential Advisors and runs programs, events and community-building activities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the design, implementation and continuous improvement of programs and events that foster community engagement, wellbeing and student success.
• Recruit, train, coach and motivate Residential Advisors to deliver high-quality support, build positive relationships and uphold community standards.
• Monitor resident welfare, provide guidance and referrals, and work with university and local support services to ensure holistic care.
• Build a community culture that promotes belonging, safety, diversity and mutual respect among residents and staff.
• Maintain communication and partnerships with university departments, contractors and internal teams.

Required profile

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with an empathetic and approachable nature.
• People-focused, with a genuine commitment to student wellbeing and community building.
• Proven experience leading, motivating and developing teams.
• Experience in a similar role, with an understanding of wellbeing and student support.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to manage competing priorities.
• Current National Police Check and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
