Reservations Sales Specialist

About the role

The Reservations Sales Specialist is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for selling rooms and delivering a seamless pre‑arrival experience. Working closely with Sales & Marketing, Operations and Finance, you will help maximise revenue while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, changes and cancellations received via phone, email and online distribution platforms.
• Act as liaison between travel partners and the hotel, managing availability, pricing and room allocations.
• Provide local cultural, heritage and event recommendations to enhance guest stays.
• Monitor online booking channels, verify details and follow up with clients to ensure accurate reservations.
• Maintain positive interactions with guests and colleagues, fostering strong working relationships.

Required profile

• Hospitality or Sales/Marketing tertiary qualification preferred.
• Relevant experience in hotel reservations, customer service or sales.
• Knowledge of property management, CRM and distribution systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible rotating rosters across a 7‑day week.
• Valid working rights in Australia.
