Reservations Manager for Dual‑Brand Hotel in Melbourne

About the role

The Reservations Manager will be the central hub for Hotel Indigo and Holiday Inn Melbourne, linking teams and ensuring seamless operations. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing and the Rooms Division Manager, the role drives revenue while keeping guest satisfaction at the forefront.

Key responsibilities

• Support, train and develop Reservations Agents to meet service standards.
• Manage hotel revenue generation through full utilisation of IHG systems and business processes.
• Participate in revenue meetings, pricing sessions and daily briefings.
• Produce records and reports on room availability, forecast weekly occupancy and rates.
• Book individual and group reservations via phone, sales centres or travel agencies, applying appropriate commissions.
• Monitor group reservation activity and communicate status with the sales department.
• Alert operations to occupancy fluctuations for staffing adjustments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Hotel Management or Business Administration.
• Minimum two years of hotel reservations experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of hotel systems and revenue management principles.
• Excellent time‑management skills and professional telephone/email etiquette.
