Research Therapist – Speech Pathology (Perth)

About the role

This casual contractor position supports a national early‑communication research study investigating intervention for infants at risk of cerebral palsy. The role is flexible and designed to fit around existing professional commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct enrolment and follow‑up assessments (in‑person) with families, collaborating with the central research team.
• Administer standardised communication and developmental assessments (Bayley‑4, CSBS‑DP, Rossetti Infant‑Toddler Language Scales) with infants under 2 years.
• Collect high‑quality data to support the Early Comms clinical trial over 2026‑2028.

Required profile

• Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) with Speech Pathology Australia.
• Experience administering Bayley‑4 and other infant communication assessments.
• Australian Business Number (ABN) for invoicing as a contractor.
• Access to a reliable car and willingness to travel for home visits.
• Current NDIS, Working With Children, and any other relevant clearances.

Required skills

• Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development, 4th Edition (Bayley‑4).
• Communication and Symbolic Behaviour Scales Developmental Profile (CSBS‑DP).
• Rossetti Infant‑Toddler Language Scales.
