Research Officer (Health and Identity Lab)

About the role

The Research Officer provides comprehensive support for a range of research activities linked to a collaboration agreement between ANU and the ACT Government on the ACT Wellbeing Framework. The work supports evidence-based policy decisions in the ACT, especially on new solutions to complex health and education problems, such as the effect of a changing workforce on inter-generational disadvantage and the effect of early-life disadvantage on educational outcomes. The post is full time, fixed term until 30 June 2027, at ANU Officer Level 5/6 (Research), with part-time hours considered.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to both research and administrative aspects of the Health and Identity lab's activities, focusing on the ANU-ACT Government partnership and current projects.
• Manage or support ethics and governance processes.
• Organise events, handle budgeting and purchasing, prepare data and draft documents including grant applications.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience supporting research projects in a university, government or research environment.
• Motivated and collaborative research professional.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate project outcomes, engage with stakeholders and support the delivery of research objectives.
• Rights to live and work in Australia; mandatory pre-employment declarations and background checks apply.

What we offer

• Salary package of $89,760 - $105,459 plus 17% superannuation.
• Fixed-term position until 30 June 2027, with part-time hours considered.
