About the role

The RMIT Vice‑Chancellor's Research Fellowships provide world‑class researchers with a 3‑ or 4‑year fixed‑term appointment to lead transdisciplinary projects that advance regenerative and sustainable futures. Fellows will work across priority areas such as regenerative agriculture, clean energy materials, generative AI for net‑zero design, and digital economies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute high‑impact research programmes aligned with RMIT’s strategic priorities.
• Secure external research funding and manage project budgets.
• Publish findings in leading peer‑reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
• Collaborate with industry partners, government agencies, and interdisciplinary research teams.
• Mentor early‑career researchers and contribute to RMIT’s research development initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent research experience in a relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated record of high‑quality publications and successful grant acquisition.
• Ability to work across disciplinary boundaries and engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills for academic and non‑academic audiences.
