About the role
Join RMIT’s School of Engineering on a 30‑month fixed‑term research contract to develop AI‑driven automation for repurposing second‑life electric‑vehicle batteries. The role involves high‑quality research, collaboration with industry partners, and delivery of scalable solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct research and development in robotics, machine learning and battery systems to meet CRC‑P project goals.
- Design, prototype, test and validate hardware and simulation platforms for AI‑powered battery repurposing.
- Produce high‑quality research outputs, including publications, conference presentations and project reports.
Required profile
- PhD (or near completion) in robotics, machine learning or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to academic, industry and project stakeholders.
- Experience in laboratory‑based or hardware testing, validation or prototyping of robotic or battery‑related systems.
